As a kid growing up my parents was more strict on me. I'm also the oldest child so most of the responsibilities tend to fall upon me. This style of parenting help me mature at an early age, and to make the right decisions.This category of parents typically fosters a strong, nurturing bond with their children. They establish transparent expectations and provide rationale for disciplinary measures. Discipline is viewed as a means of assistance rather than punishment. Children not only have the opportunity to contribute to setting goals and expectations, but there is also consistent and suitable communication between the parent and child. Overall, this parenting approach tends to result in the most positive outcomes for children, though it demands considerable patience and effort from both parties. 'Authoritative parenting results in children who are confident, responsible, and able to self-regulate'(Mendez. 2022, para 7). The traits of a parent's upbringing style often persist in a child's behavior as they mature. However, as a child advances in age, additional influences such as therapy, culture, employment, and social circles can play a role in shaping or even completely altering their behavior. When considering health outcomes, it becomes crucial to pinpoint specific concerns linked to a patient's parental upbringing style, such as unmonitored snacking habits, and address these issues at that level. These matters gain increased significance in the context of behavioral and psychological interventions. Parenting practices vary significantly among families, reflecting a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
