What else would you add to answer the question? Are services more protected from foreign competition? Provide arguments in support of your answer and include an example of a particular service to illustrate your answer. In my opinion, services are more protected from foreign competition compared to products. Per their nature, services are intangibles which means that they are not physical items. This makes services more contact dependent or direct, referring to person to person, in many cases exchange of information. What take us to speak about language barriers within the services, my first language is Spanish, and I have been living in the United States for the past five years and at the beginning I experienced language barriers and frustration of having knowledge but not being able to communicate it properly. Which make me to understand that language is one of the bigger protections from foreign competition in the service industry. In this same line, we have the cultural differences, not everybody takes the time to understand different cultures, basically why other people are different. Services are meant to cover individual or collective needs, if you want to offer your service in a foreign country you must invest time
