what feedback can I give to a classmate who said "The most common factor I have found while researching a few cases of wrongful convictions, coercion seems to be the main factor in these convictions. For example, The West Memphis Three is a case in which one of three teenage boys was held for five hours in police custody during an interrogation and forced into a false confession. This lead to the other two teenage boys to be implicated in the murder of three young boys. Interviews establish a baseline and are often easy to answer questions to figure out what happened during a crime. Questioning is more detailed in which suspects, victims, or witnesses are asked for more information in regards to the investigation. Interrogations are more intense and structured more than interviews and held with potential suspects. The Reid interrogation technique seems to be the most commonly used interrogation, this helps to lead investigations convict the right person for the crime. It has a nine step procedure the first is positive confrontation, then shifting the blame from the suspect, minimize suspect denials, and usually the suspect will state at this point they did not commit the crime
