What if you were putting up a production of A Doll's House, except you were setting it in a completely different time period. Instead of it being Christmas 1879 Denmark, it could be Valentines Day in Southern Florida in the 1980s, or Christmas in Brooklyn in the 1950s, or an ancient religious feast day in ancient Rome. Any time period is fine, just be specific. Now how would you use the elements of set design and costume design to bring this time period to life? How would you show the audience how to feel about the world and the characters using sets and cosumtes?
