• Before ESPN, sports fans consumed sports through a variety of networks, local and large. However, there was no one-stop-shop for all things sports until ESPN came about. ESPN revolutionized the way that sports fans engage with, follow, consume, and connect with sports through solely sports-related content, such as game broadcasts and even talk shows that allow sports fans to consume sports virtually 24/7, and in a variety of ways.
• ESPN has also had a major impact on spectator sports themselves. Spectator sports are driven by their fans, and the games often have a variety of other components that contribute to their spectator's experience. ESPN's broadcasts showcase the spectators throughout the game, and its College GamedayLinks to an external site. show specifically highlights the students and spectators before a college game.
• I do trust ESPN. When I am looking to interact with sports content, I usually search for content that has been broadcasted or posted online by ESPN. It is also oftentimes a marker of success when other non-professional sports moments get posted or broadcast on ESPN, which also reflects its credibility to me.
