What is a good discussion response to this:
I'm Lindsay, I am 34 years old and mom to six kids! I am active-duty Army and currently stationed in North Carolina. I am pursuing my degree in psychology and should be done in the spring. I love to read and if I manage to find any free time, I usually have my nose in a book! I am hoping to keep working with Service Members and veterans on the psychology of leadership and what it means to mentor and teach. I hope this course is beneficial to me when it comes to my understanding of statistics. I struggle so much with this subject, and I am incredibly nervous about this course! But I will work to not let that leave me feeling defeated (as I have already allowed that when trying to download the programs lol) and move forward each week instead of focusing on where I went wrong or had a hard time. I have read and understand the syllabus and resource docs.
My variable is going to be the mental health effects of abortion on women who have undergone one. The independent variable will be the abortion status. This would simply be whether or not the woman has had an abortion. The dependent variable would be the mental health outcomes of women who have had one. This includes things like depression, anxiety, and overall psychological wellbeing. This will help draw a correlation between abortion and mental health status. As society continues to debate the moral, ethical, and legal status of abortion, we lose sight of where resources could best be distributed in hopes of helping women in this difficult situation.
