I want to add to your response that it is also important to know or explain that although position titles may be the same, the job may not even be remotely similar. While job titles may be consistent in an organization, outside the organization, job titles and responsibilities lack parity. It is important to not focus on the title, but focus on the skills and responsibilities. I agree that I, too, would also share with the employee how to file an official grievance for a position review. In addition, I would speak to my employee and inquire what her career goals are and help her to develop a plan for her to get there. Thanks! Arinna
