Many industry insiders attribute the recent falloff in audiences for movies, recorded music, network television, DVD, radio, and newspaper to technological changes; people are simply finding new ways to access the content. And while this is undoubtedly true to a degree, others say that in this age of concentrated and hyper-commercialized media, audiences are being turned off by content that isn't that compelling.
