What is the effective diffusion coefficient of thiophene? Tortuosity typical value p = 4.0 can be used.

Problem 9-8 (Level 1) The gas-phase hydrogenolysis of thiophene C4H4S+4H2C4H10+H2S was studied at 523K and 1atm total pressure using a "cobalt molybdate" catalyst. In all experiments, H2 was in great excess over thiophene. The BET surface area (Sp) of the catalyst was 343m2/g, the pore volume per gram (Vp) was 0.470cm3/g, and the particle density (p) was 1.17g/cm3. The binary molecular diffusivity of C4H4S/H2 at reaction conditions is 1.01cm2/s. The reactor that was used was essentially a CSTR. In one steady-state experiment, a reaction rate of 6.13106mol C4H4S/g cat-min was measured. The concentration of thiophene in the bulk gas for this experiment was 1.73106mol/cm3. The catalyst particles were cylinders with a length of 1.27cm and a diameter of 0.277cm
