2. Din owns five restaurants in Selangor. Recently, he asked his assistant, Razman, who helps him in the restaurant in Subang Jaya to order food supplies from the usual supplier, XYZ Co. Din gave Razman a budget of RM8,000 for the food supplies. Razman ordered food supplies worth RM9,000 as a lot of stock was running low. Razman used his own name when placing the order and did not inform Din that the payment must be made in two days after placing the order. Din was upset when he received the bill from XYZ Co. and refused to pay. XYZ Co. argued that Din is bound by Razman's action as Razman was Din's agent. Din wants to know if he is liable. Advise Din
