Beyond Type 1 is a non-profit dedicated to spreading awareness, advocacy, educating, and changing what it means to live with a chronic illness. Beyond Type 1 also educates and advocates for Type 2 diabetes. Beyond Type 1 uses online platforms to advocate and educate while offering multiple resources to spread awareness as well. However, while Beyond Type 1 has a good online presence, the non-profit is not utilizing Tik Tok. Since Beyond Type 1 is a non-profit revenue is dependent on donations. Fundraising campaigns are an important part of the success of Beyond Type 1 and allow the non-profit to continue to spread awareness and educate others.

Product: Instead of a product, Beyond Type 1 provides services such as education, community, support, and resources. Beyond Type 1 promotes education and resources to help diabetics live a long and healthy life.

Price: Beyond Type 1 services are free. Since Beyond Type 1 is a non-profit, it utilizes donations in order to create videos, spread awareness, advocate, and give out grants. In addition, Beyond Type 1 has an alliance with JDRF who is a more established non-profit who can add to the free resources that they provide.

Place: Beyond Type 1 is an online based non-profit. Resources of Beyond Type 1 can be found on their website, Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Youtube, and on the app. Some events are held in person but the events are based on the geographical location of the founders, board of directors, and the leadership council.

Promotion: The majority of promotion for Beyond Type 1 comes from the social media platforms. Material that is posted by Beyond Type 1 is often shared by Type 1 diabetics and their friends and family. Fundraising events are another form of promotion for Beyond Type 1. Another form of promotion is the alliance with JDRF. Since JDRF is a well-established non-profit that helps to fund research and awareness the alliance allows for promoting the Beyond Type 1 non-profit.

Another objective is to have a celebrity athlete share their personal Type 1 diabetes story and increase social media platform traffic by 15% by 1 year.

Increase donations (revenue): Increase donations by using membership or subscription donation tactics. This will increase routine donations and increase donation revenue.

The objective of this goal is to seek donation from corporate sponsors by utilizing the celebrity partnership. Increase routine donations by 5% within 12 months. The second objective is to have the celebrity post how Beyond Type 1 makes a difference with donations and increase clicks to donation link through content by 10% within a year.

Partnering with a celebrity athlete will attract diabetics and their families if they see a type 1 diabetic who is successful. More often than not, diabetics are told that their lives will be significantly affected negatively and seeing someone thriving, gives people hope. Many celebrity athletes already have a large social media following. Therefore, a partnership with Beyond Type 1 would promote and advertise the non-profit in a big way.

Increasing donations, can be achieved by setting up a subscription or membership program. If donations are set up through memberships or subscriptions, this allows for a steadier form of revenue. In addition, many people donate when an individuals impact story is share versus statistics being share about the disease. Having a celebrity post about their experience and how Beyond Type 1 helps with that could bring in more donations through online posts.
