The tort I chose to research was unintentional tort,

unintentional tort definition: An unintentional tort is a type of unintended accident that leads to injury, property damage, or financial loss. In the event of an unintentional tort, the person who caused the accident did so inadvertently and typically because they were not being careful.

Kristensen v. United States

The tort I chose was negligence and the case I chose that focuses on this is,Kristensen v. United States. this case came to be after a service member shot his wife and neighbors and survivors came to sue due to the military's negligence. The tort claims were that his duty was to protect and service and he was negligent to do so . the government chose to move forward for judgment andintentional tort exception to FTCA did not apply, andgenuine issues of material fact precluded summary judgment.
