What rules of business law are implied. Montgomery has a garage sale. Montgomery's neighbor, William T, while perusing through the piles of what he thought quietly to himself to be pure rubbish, notices a very handsome framed document that looks like a replica of the Declaration of Independence. Montgomery sees William looking at it and says, "That piece of junk does not fit with my avant-garde motif, you can have it for a dollar and a quarter." Seeing an opportunity to haggle, William T. retorts, "I would not pay a penny more than 78 cents for this". Montgomery chuckles to himself, pleased to be rid of the junk, and says "You've got a deal." Three days later, William T. is entertaining a group of historians at his house and one of them recognizes the framed piece as one of the only known original copies of the Declaration of Independence, valued at over $10 million. When Montgomery learns of this, he files suit against William T. Who wins and why?
