What was the most personally useful or favorite thing you learned in this course? I think that the most useful thing I will be taking
What was the most personally useful or favorite thing you learned in this course? I think that the most useful thing I will be taking away from this course is the nursing process and the breakdown of each step. The steps of the nursing process are now clear and I understand that it is a problem solving approach. The other useful thing I learned that I will be using in the future is the concept map. I found those useful and easy to make.
- What topic(s) are you still struggling with? Or, what topic did you initially struggle with, and how did you master the concept? I think that the topic I struggled with the most was using critical thinking and applying it to the case studies. I think that alot of the material was difficult to complete since we are unexperienced in some of the diseases or cases studies presented to us. I think it was difficult to use critical thinking being so unexperienced and not knowing alot of the material.
- What have you learned in this course that will help you continue to grow as a future nurse? I think that alot of the material in this course will help me grow as a future nurse because it has challenged me. It has challenged me to do research and apply that to the case studies which will probably happen in the future. Since nursing involves learning new material and patients are all different it isn't a one size fits all approach.
2. What was the most personally useful or favorite thing you learned in this course?
I've learnt a lot about a variety of subjects during this critical thinking course, including the components of reasoning, criteria for assessing arguments, and fallacies of reasoning. But the idea that critical thinking requires self-awareness was the one that I found to be the most applicable to my own life. It's essential to recognize one's own prejudices, presumptions, and views in order to approach discussions and circumstances with objectivity and arrive at well-informed conclusions.
What topic(s) are you still struggling with? Or, what topic did you initially struggle with, and how did you master the concept?
Initially, I found it difficult to distinguish between various fallacies of thinking. But I discovered that using actual examples from the real world and talking about them with peers really helped me grasp the idea. I feel comfortable identifying and avoiding erroneous arguments now.
What have you learned in this course that will help you continue to grow as a future nurse?
I've learned the value of critical thinking in healthcare as a potential nurse. To deliver high-quality treatment, one must be able to assess the evidence, make well-informed judgments, and communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
