Rods attached to a rigid bar are made of steel and bronze having lengths 1.5 m and 2 m respectively. Material properties are given in Fig.Q.1. Bar is pinned as shown at point B.

Assumptions: Mass of the rigid bar and rod is negligible and initial stresses in the rods were zero.
