What would be a good reply to this question, and what Bible scripture would you include?

My choice of addiction was alcohol addiction, while researching alcohol addiction I did learn a few things. I also ended up listing all of the possibilities of methods of detox and treatment plans too. I also planned in my treatment paper just in case one did have a mental illness along with their alcohol addiction. Alcohol Addiction: By understanding the symptoms, stages, and models of addiction, it is possible to intervene before it irreparably damages one's life. Various factors, including genetics, environment, gender, and binge drinking, contribute to the development of alcoholism. Well-designed treatment plans, supported by skilled counselors and peer supporters, can facilitate a smoother transition towards recovery. Addiction to alcohol can be pervasive and challenging to overcome.

When it comes to alcoholism, it can sometimes be difficult to find the root cause of the addiction or what they are addicted to. Throughout the many years that this disorder has been studied, it has been found that genetics and the environment often play a huge role when it comes to the root problem of an addict. Assessments, including the MAST and CAGE tools, help determine alcohol dependency levels and associated issues. The recovery process follows stages, including contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, and transcendence. In cases of immediate danger or harm, medication-assisted interventions may be considered. Issues in therapy can be the lack of interest in the program or support. The amount to attend a detox clinic or to participate in counselling. During this process, almost every organ is affected when dealing with withdrawals from alcohol (Miller & Forcehimes, 2011). There are many factors that can lead to unsuccessful chances to change one's life; family doesn't support them, so they don't care. There are also many factors that go into the reasons as to why this person chose alcohol to hide his pain or to run from it. If the person did have a mental illness underlying the addiction then I would suggest trying PRISM-IV to determine if there is a mental illness or if there is a connection to the addict's disorder. Due to some alcohol binges can also cover up or play the roles of mental health depending on their alcohol dependency.
