(Can result in some fun workplace competition but can also become financially draining or mundane to employees over time.) Positive Intrinsic; Have employees break into teams to do a friendly office challenge to see which team can work together to meet call center productivity goals at a higher rate. (This can result in team building and employees coming up with more creative ways to handle the influx of customer calls but can become problematic if members of teams feel their team members aren't pulling their weight within the team.) Negative Extrinsic; Threatening employees to be put on probation or being written up for not completing call productivity quotas. (This can result in employees taking accountability and better use of time management but can also cause employees to fear that they are just there to meet the company's bottom
