When an employee requests vacation, he$/$she must fill out a "Vacation Request Form." Vacation requests must be submitted at least two weeks $($ten business days$)$ before the requested first day of the desired vacation. Requests which are submitted two weeks prior to the desired vacation dates will be considered based upon the amount of notice provided, the length of requested vacation, office work load $($feasibly completed in employee$$s absence$),$ and the requesting employee$$s available vacation hours. Requests that are not submitted two weeks prior to the desired vacation date will not be considered. The use of sick hours for vacation time is forbidden. Employees who appear to be using sick hours for vacation time $($e$.$g$.,$ continuously "sick" on Mondays and Fridays$)$ may be required to furnish management with notes from their doctors.
