When examining the telephone directory of a locality that contains 50 thousand subscribers, we want to estimate the percentage of them whose surname begins with the letter V. Unfortunately due to an error in the elaboration of the directory, it was not made taking into account the alphabetical order but location or address. It is asked to find the sample size, if the percentage is considered to be 10%, with an error of 0.5% and a confidence 95%.
