When I calculated it on excel, my p / e ratio was 5 . 7 6 4 8 0 9 and my p / sps

When I calculated it on excel, my p/e ratio was 5.764809 and my p/sps ratio was-1.18986. This is apparently incorrect because the question says "(Exclude negative annual PE and P/CFPS ratios from the average PE and average P/CFPS ratio calculations. When computing annual growth rates, use a positive sign on the annual rate of change if the per share value increased in value and use a negative sign on the annual rate of change if the per share value deceased in value.)'. I do not know how to do this which is why I'm asking this question.
