When researching for websites that fit into the basketball statistics category, we were able to find commonalities between the sites along with numerous differences. In terms of similarities we found that having a Team and Player feature was extremely common. These features allow the user to search for specific players or teams from a given list. Once a player or team was chosen more in-depth statistics were available. These two features were found in 5 or 6 websites out of the 6 we looked at. We believe these features are necessary for the creation of a basketball statistics website as having all players on a team listed with correct names and positions is information needed by everyone running the teams behind the scenes.

Next, we recognized that 4 features that were found in 4 of 6 websites. These features were; Player Per Game Stats, Comparison, Scores, and Schedule. After listening to the clients requests and desires for the website it seems that all four of these features will be necessary when creating the basketball website, specifically the Comparison feature. While the analyzed websites only have statistics from in-game, this comparison feature would be of great use to allow managers to compare work out, hydration, or nutrition information between players gathered by their analysts. Being able to compare this data could give meaningful insight to see what amount of working out or hydration is beneficial or negatively affects in game performance.

Lastly, in terms of least common features we found that the Cumulative Stats feature was the least common among the websites. It was found in only 2 out of 6 websites. While this feature was not found on many websites, we believe it would still be beneficial for our clients website. This is because quickly being able to have access to the teams cumulative statistics all in one place would save time rather than searching for things through multiple different Excel sheets, which was a main point made by the client.
