When we learn, as individuals or as organizations, we ipso facto are different. We have changed. Learning results in change for the better, or improvement, or innovation, or adaptation, or survival in a competitive world. This is the result we seek to achieve. Instead of achieving positive change through coercion, we want to use the process of learning-by-doing as a means of motivating voluntary change from the inside-out.
