where would a summary table go in this reflection?: The objective of this study was to conduct a comparative analysis of two seventh-grade classes, one from Galena School and the other from Potts Camp Middle School, using a t-test. Each class comprising 25 students was selected based on their balanced size to ensure a fair comparison, as an imbalance in class size could skew the results and lead to inaccurate conclusions. The variable of interest is the students' Spring ELA ELS Benchmark Assessment scores, collected the week before Spring Break. The ultimate goal of this comparison is to gain a deeper understanding of the academic performance of seventh graders at both schools. This comparison will provide insights into the academic performance of the two classes and potentially reveal any significant differences in their educational outcomes. In turn, it could provide valuable insights for educators and policymakers in their ongoing efforts to improve educational outcomes for all students. The t-test was conducted assuming equal variances (see Table). The mean ELA Benchmark score for Galena School was 78.60, while for Potts Camp Middle School, it was 70.80. The variance for the two groups was tested and found to be equal, as the smaller variance, 145.17, multiplied by two, exceeded the larger variance, 250.08.
