Which goal of the dual mandate, inflation or unemployment, is more important to achieve? Why?

 Is income inequality an issue demanding a "solution" or is it merely a convenient issue for politicians to use to create "talking points" toward their re-election? 

 Is it getting harder or easier to apply effective macro policy? Why? Are there differences between fiscal and monetary in terms of this question?
