While both can certainly be used in biological statistics, I feel that inferential statistics would be the most useful. This is because I feel this allows researchers to make conclusions even if their data collection is limited by small samples. For example, in dentistry, if dentists and researchers wanted to know what kind of toothpaste was the most useful for fighting cavities, they could analyze a small group of participants rather than trying to test it on each individual. They can use the data from this small group to make inferences after analyzing the data on which toothpaste is the most effective this saves both time and money while making sure that a broad range of people are able to benefit
