While on a business trip to India, Mary sees people riding the "self-cycle," a marvelous bicycle that is designed with a complex system of wheel fulcrums that allows the bike to be propelled with a minimum of force applied by the rider. She hears that the self-cycle has been patented under the laws of India. Upon returning home, Mary is surprised to discover that no one in the United States has heard of, let alone marketed, the self-cycle.
