Whilst you are finishing your attendance, he wishes to discuss one further matter that has arisen recently. Whilst Barry was celebrating the offer of his proposed new musical career, he rented a car from Axel Rental. The terms of this offer were explained to him as being those that usually applied from his previous experiences with the company, which meant unlimited coverage. This had meant that the Premium insurance policy was enough to cover all damage howsoever caused. Barry happily paid the extra for this peace of mind.
Later when Barry had an accident with the car, he was grateful that he had enough coverage, as a friend has stated that it may cost in excess of 6000.
However, when Barry returns the car to the company, he is told that the terms of his insurance only cover a maximum of 2,500 and this would have been clearly explained to him at the time of rental. When he remonstrates and says that he was told he had unlimited coverage, he is asked to identify the person who he dealt with. When the service agent is brought out to account for what he has said, it is discovered he failed to check the details of which he had spoken.
Nonetheless Barry is told that the liability is now his.
