• The idea that every website should run at the same speed and be of equal cost, despite the platform, user, content, etc.
• Without net neutrality, Internet providers (like Xfinity, Blue Ridge, etc.) can charge customers (us!) more money to access certain websites and make certain websites run faster/slower.
• The US federal government got rid of net neutrality requirements, but some states have net neutrality requirements
