Why are some crimes considered public order crimes? Prostitution is considered to be the oldest crime in human history. Do you believe that we need prostitution laws today? 

Why should the government, or anyone else for that matter, care if two consenting adults have sex and one of the adults receives some type of monetary benefit from the experience? Could the same be said of those who use alcohol and illegal drugs, meaning if they are not harming others, why should anyone care? Who would be considered the victim(s) of this crime? 

Do we need to continue using law enforcement and court resources to arrest and prosecute prostitution and individual consumption drug offenders? Why are some people willing to accept this behavior while others want to keep it illegal? Are the theoretical explanations for why individuals engage in public order crimes effective?
