1. Why do companies repurchase their own shares?
2. As a current shareholder or an investor considering investing in a given company, what information does/might a share repurchase provide you with that might influence your investment decisions?
3. Should companies that accept government aid (e.g. bailouts or COVID-related aid) that isn't generally required to be repaid be allowed to repurchase their own shares rather than pay back the aid? Why or why not?
   • (Note, most students' initial reaction to this will be "no". Consider challenging yourself by coming up with arguments that defend allowing repurchases in such an instance.
