Why is John Bogle an incredibly important figure within modern finance?

		He was a financier, influencer, humanitarian, philanthropist, and scholar.
		Bogle founded the first mutual fund, Massachusetts Investors Trust (MIT), in 1924 with $50,000.
		Bogle is the father of indexing and founder of Vanguard. His creation of the first index fund in 1974 would eventually lead to the index investing revolution, largescale passive money management, and the advent of ETFs.
		Bogle is responsible for the start of factor-based investing, statistically proving that any equity portfolios returns can be over 90% explained by that portfolios exposure to beta (market risk), size, and book-to-market factors.
