Will you please review and help with grammar and better wording for sentences if needed. Thank you.

Drew is a supervisor at a large bottling company where he has time and time again shown many leadership skills. His future career goal is to become a bottling manager with long term goal of becoming the director of operations. Drew is valued and respected by his team and peers. During his tenure he has been able to increase productivity by 10% and his shift has had 100 accident free days consecutively. Drew however does lack the necessary skills he needs in order to advance in the bottling company. He most definitely needs an action plan to increase his chances for future career advancement in the company. Drew's areas that need to be reviewed are power positioning, planning, effort, and attitude, etiquette, personality characteristics, mentoring, and continual learning.

Power positioning is putting yourself out there to be noticed in a company. In order to be promoted you have to be noticed and the people in the company to know who you are and your capabilities. Drew has strengths in exhibiting expert power and experience which is validated by his productivity increase of 10 percent and his shift having 100 hundred accident-free days in a row. Drew has motivated his team to change some of the procedures to be more cost-effective. He has the ability to influence and inspire others and the members on his team. Drew is also very well- liked by his team. His weakness is he doesn't like being the center of attention and therefore his accomplishments are not heard or seen by others. In order for Drew to improve he is going to have to learn to interact with the executives in the company so the correct people can know about all he is accomplishing for the company. "Knowing your personal areas of strength and weakness is not always easy. It takes self-awareness andself-reflection." (Hagan 2020) I currently am working as an electrician assistant and I have been noticed by my supervisor as a fast learner and hard worker. My weakness is I am humble and don't like being the center of attention either. I am working on taking positive feedback and appreciate being noticed for my efforts.

Planning involves the process of thinking about the activities needed to attain the desired goal. Drew wants to be promoted in the organization, but he is aware he needs to work on some skills that are needed to do the job, such as being able to put together budgets. He has identified two courses that he would like to take to improve his financial skills. Drew is eager to plan and improve his knowledge in order to be future a future candidate for a job promotion. By enrolling in the two courses it will help him improve his financial skills. Drew is definitely headed in the right direction for reaching his goals through assessing his strengths and weaknesses. My goal is to become a licensed electrician after I graduate high school. I am eager to learn and willing to put in the time to learn are my areas of strength. My current weakness is that I have so many skills to learn and limited knowledge at present. My plan is to gain the necessary knowledge by enrolling in a program to become a licensed electrician.

Effort is the process of doing something in order to achieve an aim. Drew showed effort by working towards improving himself to grow and become an effective leader. He enrolled in courses in order to professionally develop in the areas he needed improvement. Drew still needs to work on his shyness and avoiding social interactions such as the holiday party. He needs to attend work social gatherings even though it is uncomfortable for him. I am putting in the effort to achieve my goals, but still need to improve on my self confidence and accept praise when given.

Attitude is a way of feeling or thinking about something. Drew has a positive attitude towards his professional development and improvement. He firmly believes he can grow and develop in the company. Drew does have a negative attitude towards socializing and avoids any situation that would lead to interactions with others. He needs to work on developing a positive attitude towards interacting and socializing with others. Being a leader, he should actively interact and socialize with others. I have a positive attitude towards my professional development and improving through my education. I myself like Drew need to become more of a leader and actively interact and socialize with others.

Having a customary code of polite behavior is known as etiquette. Drew is a well-liked manager by his staff and good leadership requires having a good relationship with your staff. He though has difficulty interacting with his supervisors and is very quiet around them. Drew needs to focus on being able to talk freely around his supervisors and find healthy ways to improve the company team. He should open up to his supervisor about things he is finding challenging as a leader. I am very well liked by my coworkers and am very respectful towards them. I need to continue to work on my communication skills and be able to communicate my concerns. I am going to be polite and respectful, but speak up when I need to voice my concerns.

Personality characteristics refer to personality traits and attributes of an individual. Drew is efficient which is where he focused on motivating his staff to change some of the procedures to become more cost-effective. His experience led his shift to have one hundred accident-free days in a row and productivity had increased 10 percent since he took over shift. Drew is very shy and avoids social interactions such as the holiday party. His shyness can limit his interpersonal skills and can have a negative impact on his ability to be an effective leader. Drew needs to overcome his shyness and build confidence and socializing skills. He needs to realize he is in that position because his managers believe in his abilities. Drew should build on that to find the traits within himself in order to be able to become an effective leader. I am a very efficient employee, but can be introverted and not speak up. I am going to continue my education to build my confidence and have an educated voice.

Mentorships involve employees with different tenures within a company. "The more seasoned mentor provides their mentee with ongoing advice, including guidance around career decisions and challenges." (Nour 1) Drew is a good leader and well-like manager by his staff. His job includes managing breaks and safety and doing schedules for his twenty-five employees. When it comes to his supervisors he is very quiet. Drew never mentioned to his supervisors he had one hundred accident-free days in a row and that productivity had increased by 10 percent since he became the leader of the shift. He needs to work on improving his communication with his supervisor and make them aware of the improvement he has made on his shift. I feel the last two years I have gained the knowledge to work safely and manage my time well. My weakness is that I need further education to do the necessary skills of an electrician. I plan to continue being mentored by my employer and enroll in a program to obtain my license.

The process of continual learning involves the ongoing process of learning new skills and gaining knowledge. Drew has the determination to improve and learn better financial skills. He wants to be promoted in the company, he knows he lacks some of the skills to perform the job effectively, such as the ability to put budgets together. Because of this, he has identified two course he plans to take to improve his financial skills. Drew has not been working on improving his socialization skills. He needs to push himself to participate in social engagements, such as the holiday party. Also, he needs to interact with the company supervisors and top executives. By doing these things it will help him not being so shy and help him gain the confidence he needs to succeed in the company. I personally plan to continue my learning and knowledge in learning the necessary skills to become an electrician. I have not been socializing with others outside of the work environment. I plan to attend more social engagements when I graduate high school when I have more time.

Drew has many strengths, but he needs to focus on his goals to in order to build his confidence. Through creating a plan reviewing the following areas such as power positioning, planning, effort, and attitude, etiquette, personality characteristics, mentoring, and continual learning he can be successful and attain his future career goals. Personally, I am going to use these steps to work on my own strengths and weaknesses so I myself can reach my goals. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses can help you make the positive changes that are necessary in your life, allowing you to identify areas for improvement and capitalize on the skills you already have at the present. Doing these things will allow you to reach your full potential and find the true meaning and be fulfilled in your professional life. Remember the sky is the limit.
