Windfall Ltd is a travel agency. Ken is employed by it as an electrician. One day, he was asked to repair a ceiling fan located in the reception area and was told to dismantle the fan and take it to the electrical workshop for repair. In order to save time, Ken attempted to repair the fan whilst standing on a stepladder, and the surrounding area where the stepladder stood was not blocked by any fence. As he was doing so, he accidentally dropped his pliers. Pan, another employee of Windfall Ltd, was busy around this area, and the pliers landed on Pan's head accidentally. He was off work for two months following this accident. Windfall Ltd denied their liability in Peter's injury.
