With dividends has to be taxed? what part if any do you think this plays on the shareholders?

The textbook -Corporate Finance, talks about if two companies are equal the one with the "larger dividend will almost always sell at a higher price." (Ross, S. A.,(2019) pg. 678)But wouldn't the tax rate that the shareholder pays play a part in wanting the higher dividend?
