Within the last 100 years in America, lawmakers at the federal and state levels have devised laws that set out to govern the conduct of people. In many ways, these laws were meant to reflect the ethical standards and social norms expected by citizens.

In a country that celebrates and nurtures an ideology of freedom, choices, and the pursuit of happiness, it comes to no one's surprise that some attempt to sidestep the rules. In these cases where a person's om conduct violates the law, we have a criminal justice system that provides checks and balances to those behaviors. 

The criminal justice system is described and defined in chapter one of our text. Please identify the three component parts of the criminal justice system and determine how each part maintains a role in administering justice.

For this assignment you will need to follow these steps: . 

*Provide a written summary identifying each of the three component parts of the criminal justice system.

*Provide an explanation of the role of each of the three parts and how the three work together to meet a common goal in the pursuit of justice. As an example, when you are providing a summary of "Law Enforcement" (as one of the three component parts), I would like you to provide an overview of what that term means and also what law enforcement is responsible for 'doing'..(and so on) with the other two component parts
