What is considered to be "floor-ready" merchandise?

What tasks are completed at the distribution center to prepare merchandise to be "floor-ready"?.

To determine how much of that "floor-ready" merchandise will be available in the store, the retail philosophy could be based on push or pull supply chain methods.  Compare and contrast the push and pull supply chain methods.
