Work through the following guiding questions and attempt to develop  “how might we” questions and “what if” questions for an issue of your choice.  (You can use the discussion forum to work through your guiding questions and post your HMW and 'What if' questions but choose ONE that you believe has the most potential to inspire new ways of approaching this problem that others can add to the discussion.

DISCUSSION FORUM CONTRIBUTION: Pick an issue that has been on your mind. Work through the following questions and attempt to develop three “how might we” questions and three “what if” questions for the following issue. Use the questions as a guidance to post what your FINAL HMW question would be to stimulate new ways of thinking about this old ongoing problem on the discussion forum. 

Your responsibility this week to to not only work through a design thinking guiding questions, create HMW and What If questions, but to also reply and discuss on at least 2 other questions posted by your classmates in the forum. 

Here are your guiding questions: 

1. Design Context (Explains the context of your chosen issue):
   • Why does this situation exist?
   • Why is this a problem and for whom?
   • Why has this problem not been solved?
2. Design Criteria (Explains what kind of discussion you are trying to insight):
   • Specifically, what are we trying to accomplish?
   • How will things be better when we are done?
   • What does our solution have to do?
3. Design Question (Poses the FINAL question to your classmates to discuss your chosen topic):

   • What if…

• Focus on emotions:

  • HMW make the 'I'm Sorry' ice cream experience? 
• Take it to an extreme: 
  • HMW make a mourning ice cream cone experience?
• Explore the opposite: 
  • HMW make solitary confinement ice cream? 
• Question an assumption: 
  • HMW share ice cream without a cone or cup? 
• Create an analogy from insight or context"
