Worker's compensation insurance provides important medical insurance benefits to people who experience work-related injuries or illnesses. Unfortunately, many instances of abuse of workers' compensation have been uncovered. Read through the scenario below, and in a Main Post, explain how you, as the medical insurance billing specialist, would respond.

It's just after lunch time, and you've reopened the doors at the industrial medical clinic you work for. A patient in her mid-30's walks in to the clinic limping, complaining that a construction fence at her worksite fell on her and injured her knee. While she's waiting to be seen by the physician, you overhear her on the phone telling someone that she pulled the fence over on herself so she could take a few days off work and "get a check" from her employer.

What would you do?
