You are working as Health and Safety Officer in WeBuild Carpentry. To support the development of a strategy that embed and promote a just work health and safety (WHS) culture, you will have the following responsibilities to finalise:

  1. Evaluate current good practice programs theories, and policies about organisational WHS culture.
  2. Evaluate the existing organisational WHS-related compliance with identified good practice according to organisational policies and procedures.
  3. Record assessment outcomes according to organisational policies and procedures. Communicate desired WHS culture to the Operations Manager.
  4. Determine the current and future organisational priorities and objectives for WHS culture
  5. Identify the resourcing required to implement a leadership-driven WHS culture
  6. Develop policies and procedures to support identified objectives and priorities in consultation with the Operations Manager.
  7. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure WHS culture according to organisational policies and procedures.
  8. Document strategy for creating a positive WHS culture and communicate it to Operations Manager.
  9. Establish roles and responsibilities relating to strategy implementation
  10. Consult with Operations Manager to confirm their roles and responsibilities in relation to leadership and strategy implementation
  11. Lead implementation of strategy for creating a positive WHS culture.
  12. Disseminate data and information that promote WHS culture to required personnel, according to organisational policies and procedures.
  13. Identify and address learning and development needs of workforce in adopting policies and procedures relating to WHS culture.
  14. Establish procedures and processes for evaluating effectiveness of implemented strategy against established KPIs.
  15. Seek feedback on implemented strategy from external stakeholders, and internal stakeholders as required.
  16. Apply established evaluation processes and procedures.
  17. Document evaluation outcomes and communicate them to Operations Manager according to organisational policies and procedures
  18. Adjust WHS strategy components in response to evaluation outcomes and feedback received.
  19. Establish and implement future review mechanisms to ensure continuous improvement of WHS culture that reflects desired culture.
