In order to create a marketing strategy, I find the 4 Controllable P's and the 4 C's to be very important. The 4 controllable P's include: product, price, promotion, and place. The 4 C's include: co-creation, currency, communal activation, and conversation. Within each of these categories, I think that it is important to keep the client in mind when creating the marketing strategy. In this case, I believe that the points brought up to prioritize patient safety and experience while minimizing the total cost of care is a great way to market the new system. I think that since the systems while separate had two totally different marketing strategies, in order to create a unified message, these strategies must be combined. I would choose to spread the message through television advertisements, physician referrals, networking, and social media. I would determine the promotional messages based on previous success of each marketing strategy as well as the projected audience. If the projected audience is of a younger age, social media would be a more prominent marketing strategy whereas if the projected audience was older, I think that television advertisements or physician referrals would be more beneficial. As far as marketing tactics with the use of social media, I would want to create an account that spreads valuable information about the system so that clients or interested individuals can stay up-to-date on new information and what is going on within the system. I would also set up social media advertisements to be displayed on social media users pages so that they will still be provided with information about the system regardless if they follow the system page or not. To ensure that processes are set up to respond to Internet information requests in a timely fashion, I would set up a committee to run such social media pages and stay in tune with questions that may be coming from the supplied Internet information.

HIPAA is a policy in place to protect the privacy of patients. It is very easy for HIPAA related issues to spark while social media is being used. In order to combat any potential HIPAA violations, I would ensure that anyone involved in the use of social media would be trained on the importance of HIPAA and what exactly constitutes a HIPAA violation. Because social media uses lots of pictures, I would want to limit the amount of pictures used of clients in the facility. I would analyze and document the success of my initiatives based on how many new clients get added to the system and facility. If there is a decrease in clients, then I will know that something needs to be changed with the use of social media whereas if there is an increase in clients, I would want to keep doing exactly what I am doing and continue to implement the spread of information with social media.
