Andrew J Carwile Mar 14 9:14pm Last reply Mar 14 9:31pm Sweaty hands and pacing/ swaying are the most common symptoms | experience while giving speeches. I become very nervous right before my speech, and my hands become sweaty. I also pace/sway back and forth. Instead of having a stable, confident stance, I find myself pacing or rocking, which could distract the audience and detract from the message I was trying to give. To help prevent getting sweaty hands, I could calm myself down right before the speech and work on my breathing. For my swaying I could be more conscious of how I stand. I also do more rehearsals with feedback from people about my tendencies. I think so many people have the same fears as me when it comes to speeches due to anxiety and not having the practice of doing public speaking already. This gets people's heat rates high, giving them a sweaty hand and having them start to pace. Reply | 1 ReplyStep by Step Solution
