He explained that he and several crews were building homes in the area of the Eagle Ridge Development located at 6820 S. Cedar Rd. He has a metal enclosure at SW corner of S. Cedar and W. Eagle Ridge Blvd. that is used to store their equipment. The enclosure was broken into sometime overnight from 05/27/2024 1830 hours to 05/28/2024 at 0645 hours when they arrived at work. The lock was cut off the door. This is the 3d time that items have been stolen in the last month and they set up security video which may show the suspect of the thefts. Mr. Bozarth suspects it is an ex-employee who is disgruntled about being fired on 04/03/2024 named Bob T. Fortnite DOB 01/23/1983. They found that he used to work for another construction company and was released because they had found he was pawning their stolen tools at World War Z pawn shop in Spokane. They also suspect a current employee who made it known that he really needed cash quickly and has been convicted of burglary in the past (Raymond C. Burr DOB 08/20/1986). Mr. Bozarth tried to report this to the officers who were just down the street and they told him to report it to Crime Check because they were busy. He now wants to speak with a supervisor to make a complaint and to report that 6 De Walt portable table saws (valued at $700 each) were stolen from their enclosure. And whoever stole the equipment left a large older rug covered in blood in the storage unit. They will wait for an officer to respond before moving anything. He will also need a day or 2 to locate the serial numbers of the stolen items. Detectives should ask again at a bit later date. Due to the proximity of the burglary to the death investigation, I am immediately forwarding this report to the detectives on-scene at the death investigation. Anderson #326 contacted Dean Bozarth the foreman for Dalton Home Construction. Bozarth explained that he and several crews were building homes in the area of the Eagle Ridge Development near where the body had been found. When he arrived at work on 05/2/2024 around 0645 hours, he saw officers down the street working a crime scene. He couldn't tell what crime they were investigating at first. It wasn't until he found that his security tool shed had been broken into and he went down to tell the officers that he saw it was the body of the girl that lived in the house they were at. He said that he was really pissed because that was at least the 3"d time in a month that the shed had been broken into. The enclosure was broken into sometime overnight from 05/27/2024 1830 hours to 05/28/2024 at 0645 hours when he arrived at work. The lock appeared cut off the door. Since this has been happening regularly, he set up security video to catch the suspects. Mr. Bozarth suspects it is an ex-employee who is disgruntled about being fired on 04/03/2024 named Bob T. Fortnite DOB 01/23/1983. Fortnite has stolen from him previously, but he was short on workers, so gave Fortnite another chance. He also suspects a current employee who made it known that he really needed cash quickly and has been convicted of burglary in the past (Raymond C. Burr DOB 08/20/1986). Mr. Bozarth reviewed the video recording with Detective Anderson and at saw that the recording was at night and not high quality, but at 0002 hours, 2 men entered the camera frame and Bozarth immediately and without hesitation, stated that they were Burr and Fortnite. A DVD recording of the security footage was made for the forensic unit to review and placed onto property. Upon arrival, he spoke to the owner, Brad Pitt who pulled up the records of Both Burr and Fortnite. He said that Fortnite was banned from pawning about 2 months ago when some construction equipment he had pawned turned out to have been stolen. He said that Burr had been a long-time customer, mainly pawning construction equipment, but up until a few days ago, he hadn't pawned anything in the last 2 years. A few days ago, he showed up with several table saws. Since he had so many of them, he could only offer a small amount. Pitt provided security video of Burr pawning the table saws. At the same time, an exterior camera showed Fortnite wait outside. Pitt provided the pawn records for the table saws to Officer Aspaas. Officer Aspaas confirmed the serial numbers matched those of the stolen table saws. He took all of the table saws as evidence in the case and booked them, the security footage, and the pawn receipts onto property.17 Crim 496 Principles of Investigation Final Exam Investigation: Fortnite Interview (before you speak to Burr) You located Fortnite inside his residence watching television. You read him his Constitutional Rights to which he said that he understood them and agreed to waive his rights and speak to officers. You ask him where he was during the evening of 05/27/2024 1830 hours to 05/28/2024 at 0645. He said that he watched the movie Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster from about 8pm to 10 pm or so. Just as he was going to bed, he got a call from Ray Burr, a co-worker, who asked if I wanted to get some quick cash. He said "Now, I've been around the block a time or two and knew he was talkin' about committin' some crime. I don't do that shit anymore and told him so. I then went to bed. I woke up at 5:30 in the mornin' to get ready for work and that was it." He then said that he didn't feel well and didn't want to talk to you anymore and asked you to leave. You asked to talk to Mr. Burr who said that he would talk to you. After reading him his Miranda Rights, he said that he understood and still agreed to talk lord with you. You first brought out an iPhone and pretended to swipe on it. You then put it away and asked Mr. Burr if he had ever pawned any items. He hesitated, then said that he used to pawn things but had not done it in years, since he got out of prison. You showed him a record of The World War Z receipts. He said that was him, but the items belonged to a friend of his, Bob. He said that Bob frequently needed money, so he would ask him to pawn some of his (Bob's) property. You asked where Bob get's the equipment that is pawned and Mr. Burr said that Bob owns a lot of construction equipment. You ask why Bob can't pawn his own property? Mr. Burr did not know. You stop Mr. Burr at that point and explain that the items that he had Pawned (table saws) had been stolen in a commercial burglary several nights ago. Mr. Burr said he had no idea the things were stolen! He appeared shocked. You explain that the site that had been burglarized had also been burglarized 2 more times in a month's time and that the owner had put up video equipment which showed both him and Bob both stealing the items that night. You ask him if he wants to tell you the truth now. He says that he will. You ask him to explain in his own words what happened: "Bob said that I owed him money from a poker game (I did) and that I needed to help him with a job to pay him back. I knew what he meant about a "job" since I used to do the same thing. I first refused, but then he threatened me with a black knife. I honestly thought he was going to kill me! Once the first job was done, I thought the debt was settled, but he didn't think so. He made me do it 2 more times, the last being a few nights ago. I was supposed to pawn half of the equipment, but this last time Pitt only gave me a third what he normally does which pissed off Bob. That's it. I was forced to do it since he was gunna kill me!" You ask him if anything unusual happened during the last burglary. He stumbled over his words, folded his arms over his chest and said nothing else happened. You ask what happened when both he and Bob went to the northwest. He said "nothing happened. We were trying to see if there was anything else Bob could take. We didn't find anything and just left." You ask what the large item was that they put back into the security enclosure before they left. He said that he didn't remember putting anything back into the shed. You ask again if anything else occurred that he should probably tell you about. He relaxed his arms, but eased his seat back and said nothin' happened. He said "I am only guilty of preserving my life!! That was the last time I was gunna help Bob anyway." You told him that a young9 woman was raped and killed. You asked if he knows anything about it. He said that all he knows is what the TV said. You asked him why his semen was found inside the girls sock less than 6 feet from the body? He started to escalate and yelled that "it was Bob, I didn't touch her. I didn't! I didn't touch her!" You ask if he knew her and he said that he had seen her walking before in the neighborhood, but did not know her. He replied that "when she walked by, Bob told me that he knows her and she was walking at that time of night because they were having an affair and the husband was catching on!" So what really happened, you ask Burr. Burr stated the following "Bob had us go meet up with her but she didn't seem to know him. He grabbed aholda her and told me to lay down a large carpet remnant for them. After I did, he threw her down, tore her panties off and began to have sex with her. He took off one of her socks and threw it at me telling me not to leave any evidence. When he was done, he slashed her throat and told me that if I ever told on him, he would do the same to me. We cleaned up the body and laid her on the grass where she would be hard to see until the morning and put the bloody carpet in the enclosure. Bob kept her slippers because he liked 'em. I saw him put them in his truck." Deceased: White female age 16 years DOB 3/20/2005 5'8.5" weighing 103 lbs. identified by parents as Erin Mallory-Hamilton (no relation to Mallory Hamilton). Clothing: Dress, 1 sock, and 1 torn bra. Of note, she was not wearing underwear and one sock was missing. External Examination: 1) Deceased had her neck cut from side to side which caught her right arteries but not quite the left. This may be indicative of a right-handed person finishing the cut from left to right due to the extra depth towards the end of the cut. The cut was a clean cut without any tearing of the skin and approximately 2-2 1/2 inches deep in the center. 2) Under the fingernails of the deceased's right-hand fingernails (index and middle) was located some biological material consistent with skin. I am forwarding this for DNA testing and identification. 3) Found some light bruising in the shape of a closed hand on both of the deceased's wrists as if she had been held down or in place shortly before death. 4) Found a light bruise on the left side of her jaw. An X-ray showed the jaw was broken in 3 places and it was unlikely the deceased would have been able to talk or even be able to make any loud noises. 5) Located a 1/4 inch tear to the deceased's vaginal area and dried blood. 6) Swabbed the vaginal cavity for semen and sent the results for testing. red the me Internal Examination: Closure 1) Used a Y cut to the chest to gain entry. All organs appeared normal for a 16-year-old female. 2) No alcohol or other drugs were present and she was not pregnant at the time of death. 3) The victim's hymen had been broken recently and there were 3 distinct tears , each less than an inch long, in the lining of the vagina. Additionally, lubrication and spermicide were found in the vaginal cavity that were similar to that found on the napkin inside the carpeting. Cause of Death: The cause of death was a slashing assault to the deceased's throat and she bled-out as a result. Very little blood was initially located at the scene which might indicate that either the death -- Mrs. Doubtfireoccurred elsewhere and was dump at the location where the body was found or the blood was cleaned up somehow. til mez Blend Conclusion: HOMICIDE with Sexual Motivation. Item #2 Black knife: Using luminal, blood was located on the knife which appeared to have been cleaned off. The blood was tested and found to belong to Erin Mallory-Hamilton 03/20/2005. No fingerprints found on item. Item #3 Black sock: Using methods to located blood were unsuccessful. However, a substance was found inside the sock, partially dried which was identified as semen. A check of the DNA database found that it belonged to Raymond C. Burr 8/20/1986. Item #4 Torn underwear: No semen or blood was located on this item. Item #5 Deceased's dress, bra, and 1 sock. Nothing of evidentiary value was located. Item #6 Blood swab collected by smear next to panties: Unable to determine. Item #7 Marlboro cigarette package: Fingerprints were found on the package, but did not match anyone in the database. Item #8 Marlboro cigarette butt: This item looked like it had been outside for weeks or months. Nothing of evidentiary value was able to be collected from this item. Item #9 Security video: The quality at night was poor, but 2 men could be scene at the door of the shed enclosure (time: 0002 hours). It appeared that the lock was cut and they each loaded 3 table saw looking pieces of equipment into a truck (unknown make/model/or plate). As they finished loading the equipment, it appeared that they became alarmed at something to the northwest of their location. They each jumped from the bed of the truck and ran towards the enclosure. One subject tripped and flew to the ground, then got up and joined the other by hiding on the other side of the enclosure. At 0034 hours, they each left walking out of camera range towards the northwest. At 0138 hours, they were seen walking back to the storage area with a larger item in some sort of a roll. The item was deposited in the enclosure and both subjects left in the truck. Item #10 Blood covered large piece of carpeting: Previously, this item had been described incorrectly as a rug. Several samples of blood were collected from the evidence and all samples were identified as belonging to Erin Mallory-Hamilton 03/20/2005. Additionally, upon talking with the Medical Examiner, it is believed that the deceased bled out on this carpeting due to the amount of blood it contained.5 Item #10a Mcdonald's paper napkin was found inside the carpet. Both a small amount of blood and a small amount of semen were found and collected. The blood was identified as belonging to Erin Mallory-Hamilton 03/20/2005, while the semen was identified in the DNA database CODIS as belonging to Robert "Bob" T. Fortnite 01/23/1983. The semen also contained spermicide and a small amount of a lubricant. This item was repackaged and placed into evidence as a different property than the carpet. Item #11 Iphone 25: Due to the newer superior biometric security features on this phone, we are unable to unlock and process it for digital evidence. Partial fingerprints were located, but with insufficient detail for a match. This item was then removed from evidence by the lead Detective in an attempt to find a way to unlock the phone or identify it in some way as to its' owner. sprint due a novowolf . luteepoquebu Swed Lucky boredllorabodturn you\\ along donta as well And ads To slootdo A .norrise as beitunableow doifw bomb vilsinsq adobe or sbiem bound new .080 ROS\\ rigid . baomyall of begnolod si dordt bauot gecdsb moli eud no boistol esw boold to nomsa off :sowrobin moT be moal heregol zew sulsy vadinobive lo gourdon alone I bra .mad ,2297b e beanpost all moll youinnsteb of siden Jigsting of taon some vd beloallow dowe boold of mail .sendslab sthi fi snovus edfrom to edvow tol sbiato good bud fi will bedool moltenT Bud siteregis modhuM 84 moil inoli eidt moil botoolloo od of side esw solev veinsbiye to saidto To joob all 18 snoop ed blues from Stud noog esw frauds wilsup ofT cobly youos2 0 meal & bobcol doso verb une ito blootodt forty bensonge il (eurod $000 mu) smeolone borla all bring s ofni Inomgmaps to esosig gaslool wea older Bingtype of gribsol bodeind openT nonsvol sort to leswithion Bon bogght Woulre sno oweolano13 Report from Deceased's Parents On 5/30/24 at 1433 hours I, Ofc. You ask him where he was during the evening of 05/27/2024 1830 hours to 05/28/2024 at 0645. He says that "Burr talked me into helping him lift some tools from the worksite. I was having some financial issues and couldn't pay rent on the house, so I agreed to help him. It was all his idea and he even pawned the property himself and kept all of the money." You asked if anything else happened during the theft. Fortnite appeared reluctant to say anything further, but then said that "during the theft of the tools from the shed, Ray disappeared for 20-30 minutes, leavin' me alone to load the equipment. When he finally came back, he said that he had been seein' his girl." You ask if Burr had been carrying anything and he replied "no, he ain't carryin' nuthin' when he came back. The account information showed that Fortnite was the accountholder for cell number 509-954- 6660. His listed address is 1427 W. Miranda Rights Ave. Spokane, WA. It showed that at 1657 hrs on 5/27/24, a text was sent from this phone to 509-995-4996 which was previously identified as suspect Raymond Burr's cell phone. The text read "we go get saws from site tonight. 1 1pm I pic u up. U pawn". At 1722 hrs on that same date, the cell phone received a reply from 509-995- 4996 that said "I don't wanna get in trol again. Can we just go for beer?". Fortnite responded "no. 1 1pm".
