The client's name is Severely Abused; her abuser is IM Abusive. Abused and Abusive have maintained a close personal relationship for the past 3 years. In fact, since the birth of their daughter, Not Abused, on August 12, 2020, they have lived together.

While Abusive has been abusive throughout their relationship, the abuse has escalated and yesterday, October 18, 2022, Abusive attacked Abused during an argument wherein Abused suffered a black eye, bruises on her arms and back, and a broken arm. She was taken by ambulance to the local hospital and treated for her injuries. Not Abused was released to a family member, and Abusive was arrested for a violation of Penal Code 273.5 (domestic violence). Abusive remains in jail.
