You are the associate vice-president in charge of public relations for Magnetic Choices, a training and development consulting firm.

An employee of the local Chamber of Commerce, Joseph Sands, has recently sent you a letter with a promotional opportunity. Mr. Sands would like Magnetic Choices to pay a one-time fee of $3,000 to have a metal sign with the company's logo and contact information hung on the fence that encloses the local baseball stadium.

You would like to take advantage of this opportunity, but you had a previous bad experience with the Chamber of Commerce. Magnetic Choices had paid $1,000 to sponsor a float in the town's annual Hometown Pride Days parade, but the float was poorly constructed and the advertising contained a misrepresentation of your company's logo. Your previous attempts to receive a refund because of these circumstances have been unanswered.
