The leader is the person that will have a vision and mission and know how to implement that. Has the ability to bring the people together in this vision."
My colleague, the team leader.
Max is 30 years old and is the team leader in my work. In his free time, he likes fishing and bicycling. Krzysztof defines Leadership as "The act of inspiring and guiding people from different parts of the world toward achieving common goals and making the world a better place."
My Husband Wojciech
Wojciech is a 43-year-old fan of European football. His favorite team is Liverpool. He works as a truck driver on local routes around Chicago. He recently moved too far suburbs with his wife and three kids. On vacation, he likes to stay active and travel to visit new places. His hobby is watching movies and walking with the dog. Wojciech defines Leadership as " the day-by-daily action in your work to motivate and inspire other coworkers or employees through your work. "
The district office is located in the closest suburbs of the Chicago area. The setting is the main conference room in the district office. The room is nicely set up with round tables and six chairs around. At the entrance, we have the program of the event and name tags for all attendees, their guests, and their families. My husband, father, best friend, team members, and boss attended the event to honor the recognition of the employees of the year. My family was with me because I was honored to be one of those recognized employees. We were sitting on the same small round table in the back of the room. Waiting for the ceremony to start, my father start the conversation:
Krzysztof: Good evening, everybody. I am very proud of my daughter and happy to be here.
Wojciech: We know at home how much my wife loves to work here; we all are super proud.
Ruta: Yes, that's an excellent achievement to be called the leader of the year.
Krzysztof: I know that she has the leadership skill since she was in kindergarten.
Ruta: No matter what her position was in the past, she has leadership skills. That is seen during her carrier movement when cleaning the person up to know when she is the boss lady.
Krzysztof: I remember when in school, they were looking for a voluntary person to run the club and bring some more volunteers. She did this excellent beyond expectations.
Chris: That is one of the reasons why I met her. I knew right away that she would be an excellent leader.
Max: Do you think she has the skills or she has experience with her
work?
They look around o the conference room when more and more people start coming. The room started filling out quickly, and everybody was ready to start the celebrations. The group was prepared to eat dinner and enjoy the night. With a whole conversation about what they bring them together tonight.
Ruta: Do you think you can learn the skills to be a good leader and successfully lead your team to be successful?
Max: Yes, I do believe so; she can bring the crew together thru her experiences and skills
Wojciech: My wife has the dedication thru her hard work and motivation that others can see and follow as an example.
Chris: She has the ability, thru her hard work, to achieve the goal, and people will follow her.
When I was stressing myself to go for the stage to take the recognition, my group was very occupied with discussing my leadership skills. And how they see this from their perspective.
They started to serve dinner since the room was filled, and everybody was ready to enjoy the evening.
Max; I wonder if we can call that leadership. I stand more behind my skills and experience, as I said.
Ruta: I need to disagree with you. She can lead people, which means her skills are there, and she is also a natural leader.
Krzysztof: From history and my long life, I know my daughter has leadership from the day she started her education, always in front, motivated and ready to do more than people expected. Can you disagree with me that is the leadership, Max?
Wojciech: They said that good leadership is creating the leaders, and leadership is an ongoing process as the education we learn for our whole life.
Chris; Thats being said, let us enjoy the evening,

Act 2.
Five of us were done eating the dinner that recognized the employees for their leadership and other achievements. We planned to go after the ceremony to celebrate a little less officially when the alarm started beeping. Everyone in the nice set-up room starts looking nervously after each other. Suddenly the load message started playing from the speakers that we were in hard lockdown.
Ruta: My good. What does that mean that we are in hard lockdown?
Max: That means we must hide because we have an active shutter or intruder in the building.
Chris: Don't scare people, please. We don't know that yet
Krzysztof: We need to think fast and decide what we would do
Wojciech: Let us wait to see how the situation will go. Maybe it is a fake alarm.
People were very nervous and started panicking, not having any directions or explanations of what to do. Some women start crying and hiding under the tables. At that moment, Aneta returned to the stage, grabbed the microphone, and told people to stay quiet until we knew anything more. She grabbed a couple of people and started giving them directions on what to do. They all follow her directions immediately without asking unnecessary questions.
Chris: That is precisely what I call leadership, her ability to unite people and work on common goals.
Max: I'm afraid I have to disagree with you, Chris. She is risking other people's lives to show she knows what to do.
Ruta: Why are you so negative about her? She is a great leader to act .No matter on which position she is. That is, called leadership!
Wojciech: My wife showed here the leadership that she has naturally when it comes to making an action or decision.
Max: I need to agree that is leadership!
Max, Ruta, Chris, Krzysztof, and Wojciech agree that all skills, experiences, and abilities Aneta has are leadership!!!
The alarm stopped playing, and the maintenance crew came to apologize. That was a false alarm, and they could enjoy the rest of eth evening.
End of act 2.
