Carters moved in and made significant improvements to the house. They believed they would receive the deed to the property after they made all the payments toward the purchase price to Hall After 3 years of making payments and living at the premises, Carters sent Hall a payment and he refused it. He threatened them with eviction. Hall argued the contract was required to be in writing and is void. There is no contract.
