wrote this - Individuals are compelled to wear masks, especially when walking outside and visiting institutions, in accordance with the global circumstances caused by the pandemic. Many countries have even passed legislation requiring the use of masks. This also raises the question of whether it restricts one's personal freedom. However, I believe that a loss of liberty justifies a gain in societal order and safety. Because I believe that by following the legislation on wearing a mask, we are both ensuring the safety of those we interact with and protecting ourselves from them. Furthermore, we have a history of pandemics, so I don't see why people shouldn't follow a rule that aims to promote order and safety so that we can get our lives back faster. Pandemics in the past lacked a vaccine for years, but we now have the instruments and capability to create a vaccine as quickly as possible, much like we do now. So, in my perspective, giving up part of our independence for the greater good is not all that horrible. Also, our personal liberty has its bounds, which we should all be aware of.
question -When you refer to a freedom here, what freedom are you referring to? Did we have a right to be free from wearing a mask? How is that a restriction on our liberty if we never had that liberty at all? Can you explain? I'd like to get your input here! : )
