XYZ Corporation is a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Illinois. XYZ operates a nationwide network of "Spuds-A-Plenty" restaurants, which sell only french fries and super-sized margaritas and beer. There are quite a few restaurants in Texas, and XYZ has appointed Wesley "Booger" King as its registered agent for service of process. Wendy Fillay slipped and fell in the Spuds-A-Plenty in Waco. She wants to sue XYZ, and thinks that it may be hard to locate King to serve him with process. May she serve XYZ by serving the secretary of state?
