Background and Case Overview The Ministry of Health and Medical Service of Fiji suffered tremendously during the Covid 19 pandemic in 2021. It is now on the road to recovery and improving access to healthcare services is one of their major priorities. However, there has also been numerous complaints from health service users regarding the dilapidated condition of the health facilities, shortage of supplies and consumables and frequent cancelations of clinics and surgeries due to shortage of staffs. Recent graduates from medical universities are still without jobs, citing inconsistent, prolonged, and unfavorable recruiting process. As the Director of Policy & Planning based at the Ministry of Health Headquarters in Suva.

You are required to put together a Strategic Plan for the next five years to map out how your Ministry is going to address these issues. Specifically

1. Provide a comprehensive review/analysis/discussion of the issues faced by the Ministry of Health and Medical Service Fiji (from credible sources)

2. Identify your priorities (supported by evidence) and prioritize your priorities (based on evidence)

3. Select only three (3) of the priorities you have highlighted and then develop a Strategic plan accordingly.

4. The Strategic Plan must include timeframes, indicators and means of verification
