The staff person tells you that over the last three months she has seen Amanda snap at clients in the hallway over things that "didn't seem like that big a deal". Then last week she publicly berated one of her team members for the way she dealt with a client. She has also noticed that Amanda is frequently late for work or absent altogether due to illness. You go to Amanda's office and sit down to ask how she is doing. She immediately becomes defensive and says, "I'm fine, I just haven't been sleeping well, and I am a little on edge because of some personal issues, but I'm fine".
